Belgium is one of the best countries I have been too.
Ostend is a great place to go to for a week-end break and has got some great bars and clubs. The bars are open nearly 24 hours a day. I can recommend the Black Jack bar on Lange Straat. Great atmosphere, great booze and even greater men!! Ostend has a great beach but it can be a bit chilly in the winter. It also has a beautiful harbour and some great shops. Ostend has a direct link with Dover in England by ferry and this only takes 2 hours. Ostend is also close to the beautiful town of Bruges (Green Venice) and only 1.5 hours from Brussels. Most people in the north of Belgium understand a little English so most people can get by. |
