I have been twice to Jordan. It is a small, safe country and it is very easy to travel around by public transportation or even by lift. It's a fairly modern country, with reasonable tourist facilities and not expensive by western standards. There are many attractions and interesting activities. The places I visited and recommend are: - Amman, the capital - Jerash and its old Roman ruines - Madaba & Mt Nebo - the Dead Sea - El Kerak and its castle - the Wadi Rum desert - Aqaba & the Red Sea coast and, of couse......... |
| | ..... Petra, about which I decided to make a separate page in VT. So please visit my Petra page in VT if you like, while you'll find in this Jordan page info about all the other Jordan destinations I've been to. |
| | Though it is a small country, there is a big climate variety. In winter, it may snow in Amman or in El Kerak, but you can sunbath and swim in Aqaba. The Dead Sea and the Jordan valley are hot all year round, while the desert areas have a big temperature difference between day and night. |
