A really special city.

by dabuwan - last update: Feb 2, 2003

I've built this joining two pics I made.
Everything what you read and imagine about Jerusalem is probably close to reality. The old city is home to the holiest symbols of Hebraism, Islam and Christianity.
Walking from one sector to the other is straightforward, but you have to pass through some checkpoints.
Depending on the actual situation, there could be several armed Israeli soldiers around, though you won't notice their presence that much as they observe the streets from house roofs or from the city walls.
View from the city walls + me.
I was there in winter and the weather can be quite cold then. Even snow is not so uncommon in Jerusalem, though sunshine is the rule.

Always wanted to visit this city, much history to be respected there not to mention the different religious beliefs and how well they can all live together.
