Nice beach resorts

Not so famous like Punta Cana and not so crowded like Boca Chica, the La Romana/Bayahibe region in the southeast of DR still offers beautiful beaches and a few affordable resorts.

Quiet colourful villages

VIllages in the area are peaceful and people are very friendly.
But lodging possibilities are very limited.

Dominican coffee beans are out of this world. It must have been ideal running around that beach.

If you drive in DR the greatest danger are the scooters which sometimes carry up to 3 people! Another good rum is Barcelo which you can find in different aging versions, Distillery owned by the Spanish Barcelo family who owns hotels around the world.
