The official name of Bangkok is a long list of thai words, whose shorter version is just "Krung Thep", that means "city of angels".
The thai capital is a fascinating city: I both hate it and love it, but it has definitely something special that captures you; you'll need more than just a few days to start feeling it. Once you have visited all the top tourist attractions, spend some time just wandering around this huge city.
Traffic and air pollution are a real problem, but this contributes to create the amazing contrasts with some more quiet spots in town. |
