Restaurant Name: Hugo's Cellar

Hugo's Cellar is popular with the natives...and it's super cozy, dark and romantic. A small bar is the entrance to a dark wood and brick interior. The dim lighting gives the appropriate ambiance and each female guest is given a single red rose. This is an example of the personalized touches found at Hugo's. If you're looking for some privacy, ask to be seated at one of the curtained booths by the wall. The knowledgeable wait staff pampers you with lots of attention, but also recognizes the time to get lost. Did I mention that the food is incredible! Hugo's Cellar was one of the most rewarding dining experiences I've ever had. After diner just go outside and check out the Freemont Street Experience.

Favorite Dish: Hugo's own Hot Rock Appetizer. The description of this appetizer is what decided us on going to this downtown gem. After having tasted it (and cooked it ourselves) it was worth every penny! The platter is composed of a granite rock that's been heated to 400 degrees and raw portions of filet mignon, shrimp, fish and chicken which you cook on the rock and steam with lettuce leaves. You gotta try it.

Casual dining, great service, delicious food. This restaurant is located inside The Venetian Hotel and Casino. In the evenings you're most likely going to be indirectly serenated by Opera singers and musicians that entertain passerbys. This is the best restaurant on the Grand Canal (LOL!) unless of course you go to Italy.

Favorite Dish: Chocolate Mousse Cake! mmmm. (need I say more?)

Restaurant Name: Le Village Buffet

It's a Buffet...but I will say this...we ate at various buffets (as you know Vegas is buffet heaven!) but none compared in quality, service, price and ambiance to the Village Buffet inside Paris Hotel & Casino. Don't believe the hype...every buffet claims to have won best of something or other...this one is the best...the rest pale in comaparison unless of course you're looking for greasy fries and pork fried rice.

Favorite Dish: The incredibly delicate french crepes made fresh with fruit almonds and berry syrup. Wow!
