It's the Borg! Outside the Nigerians had gathered to try and snare the last tourists (us) as we came out the door. They were visible in the darkness only because of their glowing jewelry. It was like something out of Tron. In every language imaginable they pushed merchandise on us. "Bonito, barato. Habla Espanol? Very good price just for you. Deux Euro Mademoiselle..." We ran for it and just kept saying no. It was pretty funny actually. There must have been like thirty of them all glowing in blue light with blue blinking earnings and headbands. That was SCI FI!

OK, forget about those dumb MTV reality shows where you see people running across the circle that surrounds the Arc de Triomphe. People there is an underground passageway. If you don't go this way more likely than not you will be killed. Nine avenues end at the circle and the traffic is heavy. Be safe.
