'Mode': AROUND
Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: It's incredibly easy to get around Rome using the metro system. Driving looked downright scary and finding a place to park impossible. Plus, the price of gasoline was insane! We found that an all day metro pass for 4 euro worked just fine for all of the sightseeing we did. Most things were within a couple of blocks of the metro stop and easy to get to. Only bad thing: avoid the metro during the week during afternoon rush hour. It's incredibly crowded (think sardines) and all of those bodies smashed together on a warm sunny afternoon... well, it reeks!!!
