Rome, Italy

by horsinround2 - last update: Jun 29, 2006

Me, Mom, & Sis at the Collesseum.
Sis and I treated Mom to eight days in Rome for Mother's Day 2005. We all had a wonderful time. I was a bit surprised at how large and crowded of a city Rome is and by the end of our stay I was more than ready for my own backyard where the loudest things at night are the cicadas and the brightest are lightning bugs in the back yard.

I've got a ton of pictures, however do not have access to them at the moment. I'll add them later.
The Baths of Carracalla - our favorite place.
Palatine Hill - our second favorite place.

I was actually in a gift shop IN the Vatican when this happened to me. The lady behind the register charged me triple for my purchase and when I called her on it, she said it was her first day on the job and apologized for her 'error'!
