Went to Vancouver with Lynda on a business trip for a few days & then also stayed for the week-end to visit some of Lynda's relatives and to see some of the sights. It was quite exciting for me seeing as I had never flown over the Rocky Mountains or ever been in Vancouver.

Actually May is the wrong time of year for skiing, but just driving up the mountain & seeing the skiing facilities was quite impressive.

There are lots of things to do within a few blocks of our hotel. You can either venture out to see Gastown, go to the harbour where the cruise ships dock or you can hit all the restaurants and/or bars in the area. You can keep yourself busy for days or weeks if you wanted to. The only thing you have to work around is the rain. We were lucky that it didn't rain much when we were there.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:scenery, shops,restaurants,warmer weather than Winnipeg.
  • Cons:rain, some times lots of rain, higher prices than back home.
  • In a nutshell:Great place to visit, lots to see & do!
