When I first went to Pittsburgh I went on a Labor Day weekend. All I can say is that I had a fabulous time and met some really fun Pittsburghese.

Pittsburghese do have their own accents and way of pronouncing things but the great thing about the Pittsburgh is that overall that people who grew up there actually want to stay there. The city has a good record of keeping its own citizens.

Some of things that I did that weekend include:

1. Going up the funiculi? (tram) for a great view of the city, the stadium and the rivers
2. Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water (1 1/2 hour away from city)
3. Miniature golf and go carts outside of city
4. Picnic at a resort in the rain underneath a huge umbrella drinking lots of margaritas with friends :)
5. White water rafting on the Ohiopyle

In terms of food, as you will read or have read Primanti's is the place to go for their sandwiches. Yummy :)
