Just not enough time

by Aphrodite21 - last update: Aug 25, 2006

<font color="#990033I" face=Bookman Old Style>I fell in love with Montreal instantly. The people, the atmosphere, the outdoor cafes, the narrow European like streets............What a nice city!!
We arrived on a Monday morning from New York and went straight to the hostel to get a little bit of sleep. We didn't set out to explore the city until early afternoon. Unfortunately we only had one day there and it just wasn't enough time. I didn't have the chance to really explore the city and to get to know some of the streets. I really liked what I did see but I felt disappointed in the end because I didn't schedule enough days for Montreal. This is definitely a city I'm going back to though.

French as a second language is classic French with usually a Parisian accent. I'can navigate in French in Paris very handily but had your experience. Provincial French is archaic with respect to Parisian French. The Quebecois appreciate anyway.

Montreal's a great place to visit, just wish I'd managed to get into the Forum to see the Holy Team play...
