At first glance it's easy to see why this city often doubles for New York in the movies. But having experienced both cities, I've seen that Toronto is unique in it's own way. Sure it's got big buildings, smog alerts, dirty streets, pan-handlers, and at times a really bad smell, but it's in no way as bad as New York. It's the most multi-cultural city in the world with more than 180 cultures residing there and when all those cultures come together, it makes for one exciting city. I absolutely loved New York but I would never live there. Toronto, on the other hand, is a city I could live in. Remember, I live in Brantford with the most boring downtown in the world so with Toronto only being a short bus ride away, I like to go there on some weekends. Everytime I'm there I think about how much I love the atmosphere, the noises, the people, and all the things to do. I can easily see myself moving there in a few years. |
