Winchester, VA is a nice place to live.
We have lived here for many many years. Winchester is located in the Shenandoah Valley, but is just close enough to the metropolis DC area. It is within just a few miles of the bordering states of West Virginia and Maryland, and not more than a half hour away from Pennsylvania.
We love to drive down through the valley and look at the mountain ranges, but we also enjoy driving on Skyline Drive and look down at the valley.
Virginia is full of history. A treasure trove for the civil war buffs.
