Oostplein: The place to be for students

The place to be if you are looking for students (if that is what you are looking for). Kralingen is the area where most students live (Erasmus University is very close as well). At Oostplein there are several cafes where the main audience is student: de Dijk, Locus Publicus and Struisenburg are only a few examples. If you walk a little further to the east (direction university) you will find Concordia, also a place with cheap meals for students and some pool tables.

Located right under the Erasmusbridge Crazy Pianos is the place to be if you like popular music played on pianos. This summer it is closed because of renovation, but in september again it will be a popular place on a Saturday night.

Inspite of what they offer, don?t eat here, it might be a disappointment.

Baja Beach Club: The place to party in Rotterdam

See and to be seen. That is the key factor in this club. The bartenders have either silicon breasts or silicon muscles. This is a typical party disco where every effort is made to make people happy. Upbeat music, quickly changing from song to song, horns, throwing napkins, and so on. You will have a good time here if you are in the right mood.

Las Palmas is a trendy danceclub (clubhouse and funky techno) on a special location. The small room is opened at 20.00 hrs where you can take a drink first. The interior is completely different from the exterior. From outside it looks like a old warehouse while at the inside it is very trendy with bright colours. Las Palmas is famous because of its spectacular lightshow with its 1.200 lamps.
