I know a lot of people will disagree with this review and maybe I was just tired but I did not love this museum, yes there are a lot of Picasso and other great artists but I thought the Prado was a lot better.

This Museum was very well laid out and had a lot of great art. We went on a Sunday which was a mistake. on Sundays the Museum is free and the lines are long long long. There are two different lines one for the special exhibit (Tintoretto) and the other much shorter line for the permanent exhibit. The line was so long for the special exhibit that we waited in line (25 minutes) for the permanent exhibit, which is extensive and very good. While we were walking around the museum I found a ticket for the Tintoretto exhibit and was able to go and see that, it was very good and informative. I did enjoy this museum, worth the trip.

This was my #1 thing on my to do list while in Madrid. I have never been to a european Footbal(soccer) match. First off we had to get tickets and after the concierge at the Palace Hotel tried to make us pay him 175 euro's each we decided to goto the stadium (took the subway right to it). There were still tickets for sale and the line was about 100ft long so we decided to buy them from a scalper. We paid 60 Euro's for face value 45 euro tickets and did not have to wait inline. The tickets were on the third tier out of 5 tiers and were good seats.

Beware, If you can't handle smoking they alow it in the stadium. The guy next to me must of smoked a pack of cigerettes during the game. It was still fun to be there.

If you feel like snacking while you are at the game you might want to buy you're food outside and bring it in(it's allowed). There are no vendors walking around in the stands during the game so if you want a snack you have to go get it yourself and the selection is not great, they do have bacon sammy's and hotdogs, also beer. Its a fun atmosphere, and very safe.

The line for the Football museum was very long, much much longer than the line to get tickets. Make sure to go early if you want to get in.

With Tio Pepe in the background and the Bear and strawberry tree infront of you keep walking around this area it seems like a great place to shop eat and see a lot of the local flavor. I think I would stay around here next time. Make sure to shop In the department store El Corte Inglés, we loved the grocery store in the basement. We bought a lot of Tio Pepe there and Cava along with olives and water.

There is a tourist office here to get a map or ask some questions, otherwise I would say have a quick look around, there is not much else here.
