  • Everything we could ask for, an upperclass hotel with not the same expense as the Oriental or the pennisula, nicer than the Shangri-La too.

Unique Qualities: Make sure to Have the first frozen drink on the menu in the lobby bar, it is huge about 2 feet tall.

  • The Marriot is also on the Chao Phraya..It is a great hotel (newer), that has lots of resteraunt(Trader Vic's is great). I would stay here but it is a little out of the way. They do have a shuttle boat that can take you to the Shangra-la, Pennisula, or river centre for free.

  • If you are looking to stay at the hotel Sofitel Don't. It is closed for good, I think it was not built correctly. What a waste of a great building.
