San Jose has the best climate out of anywhere I've ever been. We have the mildest winters with very little rain. And we have the best summers with an occasional heat wave. If you like to ride a bicycle competitively or as a recreational sport, this is where you want to live. As mentioned earlier, the climate is perfect for riding all year round. Sometimes, the best mountain biking peaks in the winter where the forests are lush, the soil has great traction and the cool weather gives you unlimited energy to pedal. There are miles and miles of single track trails all over. There are areas of San Jose (Los Gatos, Saratoga, etc.) where you can ride out of your front door into beautiful mountain bike trails. Within 15, 30, 45 minute drives the possibilities are endless. You can ride through the dense redwood forest in El Corte Madera. Or south, you can ride the dryer Santa Cruz mountains and end up in Santa Cruz beach and bathe in the Pacific Ocean. If you like surfing, Santa Cruz is the place to be. Surf, mountain bike, road bike, hike, wind surf, rock climb, etc... it's all here.

San Jose is at the hub of all things technology. From Adobe, to Apple Computers, IBM, Intel, Yahoo!, eBay, etc... they are all within 10 minutes of each other. If you want to work for computer/ internet technology, San Jose is the perfect place for you. If you want to surround yourself with driven people that push technology and invent new ideas, this is the place to be. Be inspired, be driven, the people are here to push you.
