Party Hard Helsinki

by TomTomi - last update: Apr 18, 2006

Lost & Found
How, where and when to Party in Helsinki... The Helsinki do's and dont's, hot's and not's. Here you'll find your kinda place to spend a more or less wild night in Helsinki. Lot's of 'sinki at summer, but in winter Helsinki is more of the Hel'. That's why Helsinki people warm themselves with hot clubs and cold drinks. Lot's of 'em...

But why come to Helsinki, really? As a resident myself, I have to say it's one of the most "convenient" party places I've ever experienced. The city centre Is fairly small and everything you need is within walking distance. All your bars and nite clubs are at best within crawling distance from each other. And if you want to experience a more relaxed crowd and cheaper prices, you can walk to Kallio, which is a neighbourhood north east of downtown. It's the most densely populated area in Finland, with most residents are single and between the ages of 20-24 yrs. And the bar density is the greatest, too!

And besides, there aren't that many important sights, so you won't feel too bad about not seeing them when you sleep during the days...

Have fun! And if you visit some of the places I recommend, I'd like to hear your opinion!

Great tips, especially I loved about KaivoHuone. I was there in summer of 1999 and spent wonderful three weeks. I love the city, and would love to come and see it again.
