We were planning on doing a day of wine tasting in conjunction with a work trip - but I did not have a lot of time to prepare. I tried to purchase a book on the area but there really are not a lot of choices. So we really had to play it by ear when we got to town. The first night we called around to find out if we could get our own guide for the day. While there are several companies offering "tours" few offered guides who knew the wineries. We ended up hiring a car for the day- they only had stretch limos left so we toured the area in style!
