Boat trip

A cruise around the old town takes around one hour and gives some great views of L?beck.
Wel worth 7 euros each.
Looks like there are several to choose from, Schiffart ws the one departing when we were there.

Salzspeicher

The old salt warehouses, close to Holstentor look good, great views if you're on a boat trip.

Another gate into the city, everywhere we visit is often under renovation, anyone else notice that?

Niederegger marzipan

Lübeck has a tradition of marzipan making, this shop and cafe has a great selection. Worth a visit to see the displays but as I like marzipan it was a must for us.

Petrikirche

Was a church but no longer. Badly war damaged, this is now an exhibition centre. A lift to the top of the tower gives great views over the city. Cost 3/2006 is 2.5 Euro.

Burgtor

Always enjoy visiting city gates, not sure why, this is an attractive one.

Directions: Grosse Burgstrasse, not far from the harbour

Marienkirche

Not usually visiting churches, but, this is well restored after war damage and the original bells are left laying where they fell. Also good information on the rebuilding work. Interesting visit.

See the Rathaus

Thats the town hall, impressive building on Markt and hard to miss. Has a couple of good places to eat too.
