just 1hour north of Frankfurt, by Train or Car, which could take a bit longer, depends on Traffic.the University founded after the Reformation in 1527 and was the first protestant University in Germany.
in these days the University still is the Lifestream of the Town.
lot of quaint streets make a stroll around Marburg intersting, but bring good footwear....the old cobblestones are still in place
- In a nutshell:the Students make this Town a special place

Marburg looks so wonderful. I adore small old towns.
Another nice page about a worthwhile destination in Germany. I have just returned from Marburg, but only spent the afternoon there on business and came right back on the train. So I didn't see very much this time. -- Greetings from Frankfurt.
A beautiful looking town with a very picturesque river running through it! Sounds great, as does a relaxing meal & a cold beer by the Square!
And to think I went south instead of North. What a fabulous cathedral. Thats a huge student population.. wonderfully diverse. Grimm brothers too.. great
Nice looking city! Longstanding Communist government ? Wow, not till now, I hope.
