o pais mais lindo

yes I still feel close to Brasil.
in the late60's and mid 70's life was a bit rough in Brazil,I worked and live among the people of the south, Rio Grande do Sul, for 3year.It is one of the most importand chapter in my life.
and when ever I had some sparetime, I travelled much around the country. the south and north differences very much obvious, from the 4 seasons in the south and the tropical climate of the north, Brasil sure is a vast country, very much like Australia.
the picture shows the region around Diamantina/ Minas Gerais

I have build separate pages of Brasil's Region and Cities, but all from years back, the country has moved on and more updated infos should be found on the many good Brasil pages here on VT.

BRASILIA , Brasil's 'artificial' Capital in the middle of nowhere...an off the beaten path destination, but a great expirience for all Architecture Lovers

Garganta do Diabolo
...Niagara, eat ya heart out

the finest overall view is from the brazilien site, thats my opinion and I know I am bias. the early morning is the best time for taking your picture, detailed views of the Foz is from the argentine site one has greater opportunities to observe Flora&Fauna, but you be the judge anyway
the name Iguacu simply means 'great waters'
according to the legend, the great waterfall was created in an outburst of rage by the god of the Iguacu River, who lived in a particular wild and violent area on the downpoor called Garganta do Diabolo..theDevils Throat...
two young Guarani Indians had fallen in love, the god did not like it and send the big watersnake after them. they fell over the Fall, he turned into a big stone and she into a tree, opposit from him, forever separated. in he evenings when the wind comes up, one can see the tree leaning forward towards the stone, never quite reaching
