Founded by the Romans, Cordoba had strategic importance at the River Guedalquivir. But 711 it fell to the Muslims and Cordoba became the Capital of El Andalus and center of moorish Art, Architecture, Philosophy and Poetry as well as a flourishing Horti and Agriculture Center. The Muslims adapted irrigation and the rich soil produced fine Fruit and Vege's...and Cordoba lit up when dark.. while Paris was still a dark place.
For me, the most astonishing Achivment..those cultures lived in relativ Harmony together, something we all should strife for..what was possible in those day's should be good enough these day's.
- Pros:History has a big Influenze on our present and future
- In a nutshell:the City thaught me a thing or two
