mentioned in the 7th century but came to it's full bloom in the 12th..wine made the region and Bernkastel-Kues known worldwide.the people are a special breed too, I suppose it has all to do with the job.down to earth,working hard and partying even harder, if I may say so.

old, beautiful and athmosphere galore, the Marketplace with its beautiful old Fachwerkhauses from the 17th century. visit the old Railwaystation and the wander into the small sidestreets, the Graachtor which houses the Regions Museum. you'll find enough to do to work up an appetite and yearning for a good glas of wine. enjoy yourself in this lovely small City |
