I had first heard about the Aran islands during my days at film school, when we read about Robert Flaherty's famous film, `Man of Aran'
So when my friend Manish packed his bags on a transfer to Ireland, i decided it was a good time to plan a trip...

My trip was to Inishmore (or Inish Mor), the largest of the three that make up what are the Aran islands... Inish Meain, Inis Oirr. are the other two.

Ps- I did realised that the location for my page on vt is not completely accurate. The Aran Islands are off the coast from Galway. When i had last checked, this wasnt listed on vt

Pros and Cons

Pros:incredible landscape
Cons:too many tourists sometimes...
In a nutshell:definately worth the trip

great pictures,i stayed on the smallest island years ago ,it had just 1 bar and 1 shop :)

wrong island i'm afraid. the aran islands u wanted are in co galway, not co. donegal
