Calcuttans would call their city the Cultural capital of India, and perhaps it is...
However the city is not without its share of problems- from chaotic trafiic jams to a roads that are often dug up and look pretty filthy for a metropolitan city.
Calcutta is certainly a city of contrasts.

Your photgraphs of Calcutta are good- a few more details would have been handy! I love Calcutta,and found it to be really interesting
I'm reading a book set in Calcutta, and the child's name is Victoria -- after this monument! I'm so glad to see it here! Beautiful pictures!
