Nirulas is a chain of fast food restaurants which has been in Delhi since 1934.
During the days when multinational chains were consciously kept out of the Indian economy by the government, this was probably the only chain of fast food restaurants around and was also a favourite place to hang out. Most of the people from my generation in Delhi have grown up- thru their college and school days- congregating at their various outlets.
Today there is competetion from various quarters- Mc Donalds etc- but Nirulas still remains a favourite with many. Their ice creams for one are a big hit.
Favorite Dish: Nirula's Ice Cream Parlours offer ice cream in 21 flavours.
Jamoca Almond Fudge/ hot chocolate fudge/ mint chocolate chip/ etc have long been on the big list of favourites with the locals...

The Chat-Mobile at Chor Bizarre
'Chor Bazaar' which translates as 'thieves market', and as you would perhaps expect to find at a thieves market- you have an eclectic collection of furniture and props that add to the ambience here...
Favorite Dish: The restaurant specialises in North Indian and Kashmiri cuisine... They also serve the `Wazwan' - the legendary Kashmiri ceremonial feast of 36 courses.
Also, the Chaat here is supposed to be good.

Chungwa
Chungwa is located in the GK2 M block market.
Its a popular restaurant with the clients, and on some busy days, theres a waiting period to get in.
However, the food is not particularly great. I have eaten here on a few occassions - the fact that its very well located, coupled with sheer laziness, prompts me sometimes to visit Chungwa. They serve chinese as well as thai cuisine.
There have been days when they food turns out quite nice and then there are days when its a bit disappointing...

kitchen
The UK Magazine, Restaurant, recently rated the world’s 50 best restaurants. Among the prestigious few Bukhara stood at number 14 in the world, and has also been voted as the Best Indian restaurant in the world. The restaurant serves up cuisine from the north-west frontier, prepared in a clay ‘tandoor’ oven, in a kitchen area which is visible to customers, and which adds to the experience of dining here.
Meals here are expensive, but the food is amazing! Bill Clinton, on his trips to India, often visits the restaurant... apparently he said he wished he had two stomachs!
Favorite Dish: I`d say everything! I love everything - from their nans to the dal to the kebabs...
