Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore and Calcutta. 500 contestants from each city- vying for 5 spots and the chance to get to Mt. Everest- the tallest mountain in the world at 8848mts. The event- a reality show- `Mission Everest', produced by National Geographic Channel. |
|  | the logistics... After various rounds of elimination based on physical fitness and other parameters, 5 contestants from each city were shortlisted. The top 20 were then taken to the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi- in the Garhwal Himalayas for training and further elimination. |
|  | Nehru Inst of Mountaineering Contestants are put thru training and physical drills/treks etc. Their performance is closely monitored. Two further rounds of elimination, and then ten remain... The final five are announced as soon as they get back to Delhi. |
