Images of Santorini are what pop into many people's minds when they think of Greece. True, it must be one of the most-photographed places on Earth, but nothing can compare to actually being there. I found myself photographing the same views again and again, because the light is ever-changing.
We spent two nights in Oia, primarily on the recommendation of Brotherleelove. All I can say is, thank you VT!! :-) |

|  | Yes, Santorini is one of the most-touristed Greek islands. But if you go in the fall (as we did), the crowds are thinner and the weather is still beautiful. You really have to see a place like this yourself to believe it. The picture I've chosen here is unusual because it shows the sun RISING over Santorini . . . (for sunsets, see the travelogue). |
