Here you'll find info and travelogues from our Cape Cod vacation. My husband, my father, and I spent a week there, with my cousin's house in Orleans as our base. It was wonderful and I have some good tips and nice photos for an area that I found to be underrepresented on VT when I was planning our trip. To set the mood, here's a photo of the Atlantic shore at a place called Coast Guard beach; it's part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, managed by the US Park Service. You can also check out my travelogues (they're all up now!): one of lighthouses; one of beach scenes (including the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen); and one of wildlife. |
| | With so many views of the water, it's hard to choose a favorite. This is from Asa's Landing, in a cozy neighborhood in the town of Orleans. |
There are plenty of quiet and relaxing spots, even in the middle of summer tourist season. | | |
