Unique Qualities: Far enough away from the Khao San rd to get peace and quiet but a 5 minute walk to all that's going on. Really pretty hotel/hostel. veranda that over looks the street with fairy lights. As near to a haven as you can get in Bangkok.

Email, restaurant and really nice chill out seats there. Can also arrange trips there which are a smudge more expensive than from other places but can be less hassle. Prices not cheap in comparison to rest of Thailand. About 350 Baht for a room for two. But if you have the money, worth going there for the peace and comfort and tightening your budget in cheaper areas. We found that a nice place in Bangkok made staying there a couple of days more bareable.

Directions: BANGLAMPHU - A soi coming off the Chakra Bongse Rd (which is at junctions to Khao San rd), which leads down to the river.
