Musee Stewart
This musuem is a recreation of the Fort St Helene. It contains a museum of artifacts from the military history of Montreal along with the personal eclectic collection of the founder David Stewart. Militray re-enactments are held daily at the museum.

Musee McCord
This museum is hihly touted but I was dissapointed. They had a few interesting artifacts but not that many and without much organization to it. It basically consisted of 2 small floors of displays, this might be worth a visit if you have the museum pass both not worth going out of the way for.

Place D'armes
This 17th century square was built around the site of Montreal's first well. Today it is surrounded by the Basilica Notre Dame and the Banque de Montreal.
Vieux Palais de Justice
This courthouse was built in 1856 and was used as the active courthouse until 1956. Today it's used for municipal office space.

Originally built as the Colonial adminstrative center in 1850 by the British, it was later converted into a market. Today this unmistakeable landmark serves as a boutique mall.

Saint Patrick's Basilica
Built for the city's Irish catholic population in 1843 this cathedral is one of Montreal's most ornate. Admission is free and the church is open from 9-6 daily.

Cathedrale Marie Reine du Monde
This cathedral built in 1894 is the cities largest Catholic cathedral. One of the main features are the ornate statutes along the roof.

Jardin Botanique- First Nations Gardens
The First Nations Gardens is a cultural display of the Native American tribes of Quebec. It includes displays of homes, horiculture and the usage of animal species by these cultures.

This unique indoor zoo, displays animals and vegatation from 4 distinct eco systems; tropical forest, Temperate northern forest (Local), Canadian Maritime, and polar. A great place to visit year round!

Parc Mont Royal
The park provides fantastic views of the city below, the best in town. It takes considerable effort to get up to the view points and you should not attempt it if you are not in shape but once up the views are worth the effort.
