"Guadalupe Mountains National Park" Guadalupe Mountains National Park by Jim_Eliason

Guadalupe National Park is a rarely visited National Park. This is due to its location. It's more than 50 miles from the next significant town, Carlsbad, NM and it is not yet developed. Its main attraction is hiking. If you're not into hiking, you probably won't get much from this park. However if you do like hiking, this can be that remote location you've always been looking for.

Pros and Cons

Great memories on this page. I hiked to the top of Guadalupe peak around 1980 in my quest to visit all the state high points. Awesome country!
