Key West is the island at the end of the Florida Keys. It is America's southern most point and has been a haven for lovers of the tropics from the US every since the 1850's.

Unfortunately due to its popularity the place is 100% tourist trap, however it can be a great place to catch some rays, get a tan and party into the wee hours.

Pros:"Hot and with a laid back island groove"
Cons:"Tourist trap and expensive"

HI nice to get a better idea of Key West with your photos and info thanks otherwise it seemed just a built up tourist trap! In Oz sloppy joes are a sweatshirt type top worn over tshirts or shirts?

Hi Jim, I hope you were OK during those terrible fires we had. I’ve never been to Key West it looks nice by your gr8 pics. I’d love to visit Hemingway’s place & the lighthouse museum. And posing in a picture by the Southern Marker would be a must LOL

Like your honest insights. I have to agree to a degree. First I saw Key West, I hated it. Second time, it was more enjoyable but not a favorite place of mine.

I'm flying down to Key West in mid November for a 4 day weekend. Been there many times before (some that I can't remember, too). I'm good for visiting about once a year and that's enough for me. Been 4 years since I was last there and am well over due!
