"Rainforest Vacation" Costa Rica by Jim_Eliason
Costa Rica Travel Guide: 5,589 reviews and 11,897 photos
Costa Rica is an ecotourist's heaven. The country has worked hard to find a right balance between modern infrastructure and preserving their national treasures.
I took my son here as a high school graduation present.
- Pros:Fantastically beautiful, nature everywhere
- Cons:wet, wet and more wet
- In a nutshell:great nature destination

great tips Jim, I'm looking forward to my first trip to CR in January 2008! Thanks for the info.
LOVE the photos of the crocs, Jim!! Inexpensive cab prices, I'm impressed. What a great gift for your son. :)
Great write-up. You are indeed a lover of the nature!
Thanks to your pages I added Costa Rica to my wish list...
Tortuguero National Park and Lake Arenal look really impressive! I'd love to do the Sky Trek as well ! :) The view from the top must be fantastic!
Way to go Jim, you did up Costa Rica properly! I would have loved to experienced Tortuguero National Park after seeing your pics! Don't feel too bad about Arenal, my wife and I never saw it either due to the clouds (but the hot springs were great!).
Wow. Looks like an amazing country.
