Cordoba

Cordoba is one of Spain's most ancient cities with the foundations dating from Roman times. But Cordoba's main attraction is the grand Mosque, a place of worship so large that the Christians when they retook Cordoba rather than rebuilding it all as a Cathedral, built a cathedral within the Mosque.

 Interesting to see that the jewish and islamic influenses were not destroyed when they turned the buldings into churches!
