Pretoria - The Jackaranda City

Pretoria is the capital of South Africa and the seat of the executive (Parliament is at Cape Town). It's a very compact town and easy to get around by foot.

The name of this city gives me a dejavu feeling... nope, definitely haven't been here. Must have come across too many VTers who had been here b4. Incidentally, u might want to hire a P.A. to take photos on your trip too ;-) (just joking..)

The Union Building Gardens are beautiful! When you say that the Supreme Court of SA was the site of many infamous trials during apartheid does that include Nelson Mandela's? Wow.
