Machu Pichu, The lost city of the Incas

by Jim_Eliason - last update: Sep 1, 2004

Machu Pichu is one of those sites that neither words nor pictures can truly describe. The Ruins themselves are interesting but what is really fantastic about the place is its setting high upon mountain with sheer drop offs on either side.
Machu Pichu is reached by a 4 hr train ride from Cusco or one can hike the 43 Km Inca Trail

Hi Jim, glad that Machu Picchu is still intact today and not destroyed during colonisation!

Machu Picchu looks very impressive! I want to walk the Inca trail there sometime.
