East of the City in Jurong is the Science Center and the Chinese and Japanese gardens. Singapore takes great care to provide serene natural areas within the city state. The Chinese gardens is just one example.

Bonsai Gardens

Next to the Chinese gardens is the Bonsai garden. The garden has a vast collection of Bonsai plants set against japanese style architecture.

Turtle Museum

Tucked away in the Chinese garden is the Turtle Museum. The museum is mostly a small zoo full of different turtles from around the world. Not worth the effort to visit for itself but if you happen to be at the Chinese gardens its worth a look see.
