Last week I made a bike tour to the little romantic village MONREAL in the "Eifel".Picturesque surpasses of the "Lion Castle" and the"Philippsburg",received itself Monreal in the middle of the narrow Elztals an undisturbed,attractive plotted picture. Monreal is not only a little market spot, but rather has possessed since 1306 the city rights.

Beautiful houses along the small river ELZ with the three
stonebridges. In the middle of Monreal the maybe most beautiful bridge of those three, the Fahrbr�cke (Drivebridge). There is standing the Lion Monument and the statue of Saint Johannes of Nepomuk.

Worth seeing middle class art monuments are the numerous well cultivated half-timbered houses of the 16., 17th and 18. century - memories of the Tuchmacher(Cloth maker) of the baroque time.
