I have been only to La Gomera, one of the Canary Island, and my description are just about this small green island. La Gomera is one of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands are officially Spain and not 'Africa' as VT seems to suggest. Oh well, this way I appear to have been in one more extra country :-) In March 2000 we visited La Gomera for a hiking trip of a week. Gomera is small, quiet and has some lovely nature.
