I visited Tokyo for 5 Days in February - winter season.
It may take me some time to finish my Tokyo page as i had so much fun on the holiday, there is too much to tell!

|  | The Puzzle Tokyo is more than just an expensive futuristic concrete city!
It is a unique city where everyone fits into a puzzle, this puzzle is best seen at Shinjuku train station or Shibuya crossing. If you stop, it is amazing how everyone looks like they are on a mission, so many people in all directions and yet no one bumps into each other.
A tour guide said to me that Tokyo was built by a warrior samurai so that its enemies would get lost in Tokyo and be captured. Well that explains why Tokyo is not so easy to navigate through and very easy to become lost.
Being lost in Tokyo is an adventure and a chance to see something that you would not expect. |
Where did Tokyo come from??? Tokyo used to be called Edo up until 1868 until the goverment was moved to the now know city of Tokyo. The original capital of Japan used to be Kyoto until 1868.
Most of Tokyo was destroyed from the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 or the air raids in 1945, so many of the historic sites have been rebuilt. |
