Suria KLCC: Suria Shopping Centre
  • Tip Rating:
  • This is a huge shopping centre with all the brand names such as Gucci, channel, Diesel etc all at great prices (well compared to australia anyway).

There are rows of digital camera stores as well.

Worth a visit, one of Malaysia's best!

Genting Highlands: Cable Car to Genting Highlands
  • Tip Rating:
  • We took a mini van up to the Genting Highlands then a cable car which only cost $8.00 aust return through the jungle and up to the resort and spent half a day there although we could of spent two full days!

The resort consisted of a hotel, casino an indoor and outdoor theme park!

We didn't have any time to go to the outside theme park except for having a look at it however we enjoyed a yummy lunch and spent most of the time in the hotel and indoor theme park!

Be warned that it is cooler in the genting highands, so be sure to wear pants or a light jumper!

    Batu Caves: Batu Caves
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Batu caves may look deceiving however there are 270 steps and that is a big work out.

Located in the cave is a religious temple which is used even today.

Beware of the naughty monkey's as they will grab things from you! Below this monkey stole a little boys coke bottle.

Things To Do: The Golden Palace & The Mines
  • Tip Rating:
  • We took a taxi from the city to the Golden Palace which is a luxurious hotel. We wandered around the grounds which included many open aired pavillions and a fake waterfall.

For 50cents aust we took a boat to The Mines Shopping Centre. This shopping centre has a channel of water that goes through it allowing boats to come inside the shopping centre!

    Things To Do: Templer's Park
  • Tip Rating:
  • We took a light jungle trek to through a beautiful rainforest which ended with a swim in the water fall pool.

Hi Leanne, We are stopping in KL next year on the way back from Thailand with the kids. would it be advisable to walk around night markets with kids? Is it better to stay in large shopping centres?
