Micasa Hotel Apartments: Appartment accomadation
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • This was a great stay.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment with kitchen and small living area.

It was the little things that made this hotel such a pleasant stay such as the daily delivery of the newspaper and bottles of water, the free cocktails each evening, the breakfast every morning, the friendly staff and never having to wait for a taxi.

Unique Qualities: Close to the city.

    Beautiful tropical balinese style pool!

Free evening Cocktails - alcohol is expensive in KL and part of the accomadation package was that between 5pm-8pm there was free cocktails and finger food.

Deciding which hotel to choose from it was this little extra thing that made the decison to go with the Micasa.

Eastin Hotel: Excellent Hotel in Petaling Jaya
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • This hotel was located 10 mins from the city centre in Petaling Jaya. It is conviently located near the highway which makes going places so easy.

There was lots to see and do in this area without having to go into the city centre.

We ate at the newly One Bangsar area where the street was lined with palm trees and restaurants.

Best shopping places was 1 Utama and Midvalley. There was also a nice bar called The Savannah - very modern!

The hotel room was an executive club room which included cocktails and snacks in the club lounge. The room was very spacious with a separate bath and shower! Views were nice too.

I loved the sushi and french little cakes with a nice glass of wine! All complimentary. Free internet access in the room too.

i highly recommend this hotel if you have been to KL numerous times and are looking for something different...there are lots of new areas around the hotel worth seeing.

Unique Qualities: Best 4 star Business hotel award 5 years in a row.

The singer in the lobby room was so much fun at night!

    Breakfast at the Swez Brasserie

    Mandarin Oriental: Mandarin Oriental
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • A faboulous hotel centrally located. The staff are very professional and speak excellent english. The service efficient and no problems. Truly a 5 star hotel. We had a standard room and it was decorated so well. There is a staff member at the lift to press the button for you.

The buffet breakfast is extensive and also includes waffles!

Unique Qualities: The location was most likely the most unique feature. KLCC is located right next door and is open until 10pm at night....2 minute walk.

Hi Leanne, We are stopping in KL next year on the way back from Thailand with the kids. would it be advisable to walk around night markets with kids? Is it better to stay in large shopping centres?

leanne, sad to hear about your experience. Being a Malaysian that lives through all the ***ty things happening in our country, we learned to be smart when dealing with these corrupted officers. Anyway, hope you enjoy the stay.
