Nightlife Spot: Dragstrip 66
It's all about Dragstrip!! Dragstrip 66 is a once-a-month club. It happens the second Saturday of each month at Rudolpho's in Silverlake. Celebs have been known to show up, but the real stars here are the mixed crowd. Guys show up in outrageous drag, gorgeous girls all glammed out rub shoulders with grungy-looking, shifty-eyed guys...a typical night here can include getting your fortune told by a great-looking drag queen with classical Hollywood film stars tarot cards, followed by the strongest drink you've ever had ('Surfer on Acid'), and chased by a turn on the go-go stage with two of your new best friends. Anything is really possible.

Dress Code: Glam it up. The wilder, the better. You get a discount (I think it's $5 off cover) for showing up in drag, but it's not necessary. Check the club website for the theme of the month. Who knows? You could wind up being the winner for the night.
