somewhere in the middle ........

by melancholia - last update: Jul 16, 2004

i've lived in columbus almost my entire life. it is not a bad place to live. not the most happening place to be, but i have been worse places ;)

jobs and economy is decent here. a lot of people move here for new jobs, and a chance to live without paying an arm and a leg for somewhere to sleep.

while visiting, i'd mostly recommend hitting up different shops and eateries on high st. campus/downtown. there are some interesting and eclectic places to check out & you can walk to and from most of them.

also, if you are looking to go shopping i'd try easton mall. it's an intriguing mall for ohio, as half of the buildings are outside, rather than just one huge block of stores all grouped together in one building. there's a cute waterfall or 2 for kids to play in, or just to look at. some good eateries and whatnot as well.

have fun :)

Pros:"good economy, moderate weather"
Cons:"transportation isn't great, fun activities could be better"
In A Nutshell:"average place to visit, not super special, but has it's moments"

Rachel, Great highlights of Columbus, but don't forget the German Village area for architecture, food & shops. Hope you're enjoying a fantastic birthday! - Cheers
