Hirosaki was my original Japanese hometown, so to speak. It was the first place I lived in Japan and it will always hold a special place in my heart! Coming from sub-tropical Brisbane, it was a shock to live somewhere that had four seasons, let alone one of the coldest places in Japan. Hirosaki is a beautiful city surrounded by apple orchards and it has majestic Mt Iwaki as its backdrop. I decided to put together this page as there wasn't one for Hirosaki alone and it deserves its own page!
