Nagano has won me over to winter... here I met Rhianon (kiwigal_1) and thereby made a wonderful friend!! Saw monkeys, sat (naked!) at an outdoor spa surrounded by mountain scenery (and monkeys!! :o ), learned to ski and just had one of the best times in Japan yet!! :) See those trees at the front of the picture? They are usually apple or stone-fruit<b> orchards</b>. Nagano is known for its <b>skiing</b>, <b>apples</b>, <b>sake</b> (Japanese rice wine) and <b>soba</b> (buckwheat noodles)! Oh, and <b> onsen</b> (hot springs) of course!! |
