Nagano has won me over to winter... here I met Rhianon (kiwigal_1) and thereby made a wonderful friend!! Saw monkeys, sat (naked!) at an outdoor spa surrounded by mountain scenery (and monkeys!! :o ), learned to ski and just had one of the best times in Japan yet!! :)

See those trees at the front of the picture? They are usually apple or stone-fruit orchards. Nagano is known for its skiing, apples, sake (Japanese rice wine) and soba (buckwheat noodles)! Oh, and onsen (hot springs) of course!!
