The metro in Paris is not very welcoming but very usefull when you know traffic jam in Paris !
I recommend you to use it for a big distance because you risk to lose time, so plane your visit the day before.
For the small distance, you can use bus. Take a big map of all the transportations in RATP desk.

Price: For one journey in the metro (connection unlimited) it's one ticket. It's one ticket for each bus. 1 ticket=1,30€ - 10 ticket=9.30€
You can also use a visit ticket (more info in my section transportation)

Time table:Metro 5:30 am - 00:30 am

Daylight bus (with number) close around 8:30 pm (only few 00:30 am) but there are some night bus (noctambus with letter) all the night !
